St. Patrick’s Day Dining

St. Patrick’s Day is coming up, and if you’re looking for the pot o’ gold at the end of the rainbow, these San Diego bars and restaurants have the perfect way to get lucky – with plenty of food and drinks.

NOVO Brazil Brewing Company is celebrating St. Patrick’s Day at its Chula Vista headquarters and taproom on Friday, March 15 starting at 5:30 pm. Enjoy live music from rock, punk, and blues band The Agents of Apollo until 7:30 pm. Then at 8:00 pm, DJ Qenoe takes over. Food vendors for the evening include San Diego favorite Cali BBQ, along with Rico Rico Snack Bar and El Rey Tacos a Vapor. In addition to (green) beer selections, hard and non-alcoholic kombucha from NOVO’s sister brand NOVA will also be available. The family-friendly event, which is free to attend, also includes games and art-and-crafts activities.

Duck Dive's food and drink specials are sure to leave you feelin’ lucky come St. Patty’s Day weekend! For breakfast and brunch, enjoy the Corned Beef Egg & Hash breakfast special, comprised of house-made corned beef, crispy potatoes, cheddar cheese, salsa verde, and two over-easy eggs. For lunch and dinner, opt for the Traditional Corn Beef Hash, served with cabbage and potatoes. Sip on Jameson & Shanky’s Whip Cold Brew Martinis, Irish Slammers, green beers, and green tea shots, available all day. Duck Dive will celebrate St. Patty’s all weekend long, giving guests from Thursday, March 15th through Sunday, March 17th to wear their green and get lucky in PB.

Stop in to Gaslamp’s The Smoking Gun, on March 17th, to toast to the holiday with Jameson Flight Boards, and delicious Corned Beef Tacos. For a unique spin on the traditional Irish meal, chow down on two corn tortillas filled with shaved corned beef, green cabbage, smoked onions, and a one-of-a-kind Jamison honey-mustard. Enjoy alongside the bar’s Jameson tastings for the ultimate St. Patrick’s Day celebration.

Don’t forget to wear your green into any of Spill the Beans’ three locations – Gaslamp, Seaport Village, or Mission Valley – to sip on March’s specialty drinks. The Shamrock Matcha is a creative spin on the beloved minty March shake, infused with Spill the Beans’ matcha with mint tea, homemade vanilla bean syrup, and a splash of milk for a combination that’ll leave you saying- top of the mornin’! Make it extra dope by adding Vanilla Cold Foam on top. Nothing says St. Patrick’s Day quite like an Irish Stout, which is why Spill the Beans has created the ultimate (non-alcoholic) morning version – the Irish Cream Nitro. The coffee shop’s signature nitro cold brew is infused with homemade Irish Cream syrup and a touch of Irish Cream Cold Foam for a combination that’s coffee forward with just the right touch of creamy sweetness.

Grind & Prosper Hospitality plans to host a variety of classic St. Patty's beverages, alongside their very own creation as well. Overseeing six locations throughout the county, guests will have the opportunity to celebrate at Miss B's Coconut Club, Louisiana Purchase, PRK 101, Coco Maya, Q&A Restaurant and Oyster Bar, and Cococabana. Indulge in Guinness pints, Jamo Gingers, Irish Slammers, and Irish Good Bais with Jameson, orange curacao, fresh lime, orgeat, ginger, syrup, and a float of ango bitters at all locations!
